Signed up for Hyrox-now what?

A lot of us just signed up for our first Hyrox Race that’s in 5 months and asking-where do I start?

Well-you’re 50% of the way there. Those of you that train HIIT style Strength and Conditioning classes are conquering half the battle and winning! So what’s left…RUNNING!

Hyrox is a running race (8km) with functional stations sandwiched in between. So start running!!

We have Endurance at the gym that can be all done to improve your speed (can use the treadmill or run outside). The other way to approach running if a beginner is to look at a couch to 5KM plan and keep it simple just getting used to running.

For those who are already running and want to really improve should be following a half marathon style plan. That means running 3-4 times a week with easy runs, speed days, and longer runs. (ask more for details!)

All of this being said we have currently 3 days a week Hyrox classes (adding an additional day Wednesdays) to work on compromised leg endurance based workouts.
