Why did you become a Coach?

I have always been into fitness and sports and it lead me to coaching and later training as I love being able to help people no matter how small that help is, I love coaching and sharing what I love with others.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

Since I was a kid I was into sports and loved everything about it.  Choosing to study physical education and learning more about the human body and movement made me more excited about fitness.  Mental & Physical Health is a priority for me, exercise will help you get there and Crossfit is definitely a fun way to do it.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I was out of shape and needed to change my lifestyle for the better.  CrossFit put me on the path to being a stronger, healthier, happier version of myself.

Why did you become a coach?

My love for CrossFit started the day I walked through the doors.  It was out of my comfort zone but knew early on that I wanted to tap into this passion and take on a leadership role in the gym.  I love helping others and seeing them push their bodies and minds to the limit and achieve things they never imagines possible.

What’s your favourite movement?

Gymnastic movements like handstand walks, pull ups, and muscle ups.

What is your favourite cheat meal?

Pizza!

What’s your favourite Superhero and why?

Domino from Deadpool 2. She’s extremely lucky and things just work out perfectly for her in every situation.

Why did you get into Fitness (CrossFit)?

I played competitive sports my whole life, but despite being regular at a big box gym, I still craved intensity and competition.  After seeing videos in Crossfit I decided to try it out and was instantly hooked!

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I got into it for the results I’ve seen and felt.  I stayed for the community you inevitably become a part of.  I love that we don’t specialize in anything, but instead try to be really good at all things fitness.  And who doesn’t like a good high five or a fist bump after a tough WOD.

Why did you become a Coach?

I’ve been a Personal Trainer and I also coach elite baseball.  While you don’t always get through to everyone, there are enough moments where you do see the light bulb or the switch come on in an athlete.  And to be a small part of an “A-ha” moment or a PR for an athlete, hear about all the positives going on because of fitness is great!

What’s your favourite movement?

Probably the Turkish Get Up.  It tests strength, mobility, stability, and takes you through all planes of movement.

What is your favorite cheat food?

I’d say a burger, but I have that pretty often.  So I’ll go with Dim Sum.  No particular dish, but the sum of all of it. I can for sure do some damage at a Dim Sum.

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Superman because he can do everything.  But if I could have one superpower I’d choose teleportation.

Qualifications:

  • ISSA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
  • Honours B.A.S in Kinesiology
  • Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion

Why I got into Fitness? (CrossFit)

Growing up I played a lot of competitive sports and became very interested in the training side of things as I wanted to be the best athlete I could be!  After studying Kinesiology my passion for health and fitness continued to grow.  My competitive sports journey had come to an end and I needed something to keep me motivated.  Initially, I thought CrossFit was ridiculous-injuries waiting to happen, however, after a friend eased me into it, I fell in love!  With so many movements to work on and challenges my competitive nature took over and to this day I continuously strive to challenge myself in new ways!

Why did I become a Coach?

I became a coach because I love sharing my knowledge and personal fitness journey with others to educate and motivate them towards their own fitness goals. Changing lifelong habits can be very difficult, but we are here to help you stay on track and reach your goals!

Favourite movement?

Rowing, wall balls, and double-unders.

Favourite Cheat Food?

Chocolate covered almonds

Favourite Superhero?

My #1 supporter and fan, my Dad! Growing up he dedicated a lot of his time and money to my sports, ensuring I made it to every practice, game and tournament. I never realized how financially and physically demanding these teams were until I was older and doing it on my own. I will be forever grateful as it has made me the person I am today.
