L5’s Kids program is designed for young athletes between the ages of 3-17, broken into three age groups: 3 to 5, 6 to 12, and 13 to 17. Classes are designed for kids of all fitness levels so that each child feels welcome and successful. Hard work and play are disguised into fun and games in the hopes to develop a life long love of fitness!
What is Kids Fitness?
L5 Kids uses foundational movement patterns providing children with an opportunity to be active, improve muscular fitness, boost self confidence, and discuss roles for food-all while keeping the class and its information fun and engaging. Our Kids’ program delivers fitness that is ‘Big’ fun -broad, inclusive and general. The workouts are scalable for children with any level of fitness including kids who are less active to those with strong athletic backgrounds.
Pillars of L5 Kids:
1. FUN-we use games and play to incorporate and reinforce the movements learned in class.
2. Constant Variance, Functional Movement, (relative) High Intensity-Our exercises are all based on functional movements, which means moving naturally, doing things like squatting, running, jumping, throwing, pressing, pulling, hanging, rolling, and crawling comes before anything else.
3. Quality of Movement-Kids’ bodies and minds are constantly growing and changing everyday, so reinforcing proper mechanics and building consistency over a long period of time is paramount.
